“Juliet”
“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet”
Act 2, Scene 2,Romeo and Juliet
Juliet is head over heels in love with Romeo. But there is a little problem: Romeo is a Montague, a sworn enemy of Juliet’s family. Would Romeo be another person if he had a different name? Why are we afflicted with impossible desires?
In the painting, Juliet is seen playing “FLAME”, which was quite a rage in schools during our times. The painting also pays a tribute to the musical West Side Story.
