Prospero

“Prospero”

Hast thou, spirit, perform’d to point the tempest that I bade thee?

Act 1, Scene 2, The Tempest

Prospero, the banished Duke of Milan is also a wizard. He asks Ariel, the spirit, about the storm. This was the moment Prospero had been waiting for years. Not only does he get revenge, he also learns to forgive.

Prospero looks at the ship containing people who had wronged him. The sky is red, not to depict anger but the passion of true love between Miranda (Prospero’s daughter) and Ferdinand (the Prince of Naples).
